I have questions about striker motors and also an update on project yfs250r. I got a mint 97 cr250 doner bike for 1000$ dollars which runs great however it wasn’t until I got home that i realized the case is JB welded. I’m welding the case and fixing it up a bit and am going to try and make some money on the bike and sell it for 1100-1200.
In my quest looking for the perfect donor biker, I acquired another 93 blaster with no motor. Pretty much twins with the yfs250r roller.
I still have the motor I pulled from the yfs250r and all it needs is a flywheel cover and the case has a chip taken out of it along the grommets that comes out of the flywheel side case.
I can fix the case no big deal, and a flywheel covor is a dime a dozen.
I’m thinking about building it up as a +3 mill 240 stroker with port work and I have the pro circuit pipe that came off the yfs250r.
The plan would be, build it up and put it in the yfs250r so I can get the chassis dialed in and then when iv got donor bike for a 250 swap into the yfs250r than I’ll put the 240 stroker into the other blaster.
How much power does a +3 240 make?
Is it worth building up as a second machine or will I just be disappointed when I get off my 250 swapped machine onto the 240 stroker?
