So my filter in the petcock crumbled into pieces. Should I leave it out and just put an unlike filter in it or try to replace it. it looks as though u have to buy the whole petcock to get the stock filter

I would just install a new petcock. If the filter is trashed, the seals and O rings can't be far behind. I think they cost about $30 - $35.

Replace the petcock, I am not an avid supporter of in line filters, just one more thing to cause problems.

Here's another question for u guys. Does the newer model petcocl fit older style fuel tank because there is a 15 dollar price difference. New style is cheaper

the petcock is 12 bucks! just replace it. I just did mine, and go ahead and add a filter in the line as well.

I can finding can find them on ebay but they look like cheap China stuff. All I need to know is if the newer year oem stuff will fit. The exploded diagrams are different.

Yes they are different. Some of the older styles tend to be a little smaller, and a different type of valve. Also the screws holding them on are different.

Order the petcock. No in-line filter, if that get partially clogged your blaster wont run right, the petcock filters are fine by themselves.

I can tell that they are different but what I am trying to find out is if they can interchange all years. To me it looks like they will but I just want to masks sure. Thanks for the input
