what compression do you have freak? im thinking its around 10lbs per every 0.10 you shave? any truth in this?
keep in mind that just shaving the head won't give you max performance from your head. shaving it just brings the whole stock design down. you get some more compression, but it's still the same sh*tty squish angle. have the head redesigned to properly squish and you'll get max power.
i agree about kennedy_power, the guy knows more about 2strokes than anyone else i've ever heard of. shoot him a pm and search this forum for his posts. he's got pix up on his flickr w/ some shots of the stock head next to his head design.
also, his port and polish job is f*ckin perfect! make sure you're settled on your pipe before you p&p. the pipe plays a HUGE part in the powerband of a 2stroke engine. you want the p&p to match the pipe you're running.
videlicet, running a trail port w/ a top end favoring pipe is only gonna restrict your bike's potential. running a trail port w/ a pipe that has a strong bottom will maximize your peak power and give you the strongest band.
Ok, so we can conclude that if i am runing 95 octane, i can safely mill my head 0.035" and that will kick serious ass, due to high compression?
(Its going to run with port job and Toomey B1 kit...)
Then thats the solution im going for ... The only demand i have is it is a bolt-on with no problems....no need to change ignition, timing or anything else!. .. just have the cylinder, head machined and mounted.. and ready to go!![]()
However i need to study this sqeeze band or what u call it, maybe i can give the shop some advice hehe
