alright so will a fmf header give a good power increase over stock my dad thinks it wont give it any more power than stock and i want to prove him wrong so will it give it more power than stock

Not really.

a fmf fatty gold and power core, will give you about 1 to 1.5 more horse power.

But in reality, its just giving it to you and different time, during the curve, compared to the stock.

you will notice a bigger difference, when you change you main jet out. after you install the pipe.

besides porting and a head mod, most aftermarket pipes are considered the most bang for the buck.
and yes...the fmf is a huge improvement over stock when jetted correctly for the new flow the pipe provides. as any mod to flow requires

what i'm seeing here in the pipe shootout, the fmf gold series showed almost a 2 hp. gain up thru the rpm's, and spread the power out over a greater rpm range over the stock pipe................

you can just shave the head to increase compression for a slight gain, but the true power lies in a redesigned dome too
