Being out in the boonies, I was wondering what most of you have been using as pullers? If you haven't been using one, what techniques have you been using successfully? I made a key for my flywheel after loosing it in the grass a while back and want to take the flywheel off without damaging it, or the casing (more than it already has been).... I've seen a "27mm x 1.0 fine left-hand threads" puller online which would be a good investment if I were able to buy it and have it here but I have access to little or no puller-like tools.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance

before i had a puller, i once fished a piece of #12 electrical wire thru the 2 holes in the flywheel, hung it from the rafters so my motor was a few inches off the bench, layed a piece of oak 1x4 on top of the shaft so the threads didint get damaged then gave it a few good whacks with a small sledge hammer, and it popped right off, but get ready to grab the motor so it doesnt fall, and of course this method has to be done with the motor out ???

i just try'd 4 different stators in my sons blaster, no spark, caused by a broken wire inside the harness, so yeah, i'm luvin my puller now too!!!!!!

Id invest in the clutch tool as well as the puller.I bought both and they've been life savers.there's a right and wrong way to do stuff id invest they're cheap but handy to have as stated above.
