although technically they can drown. throw a bunch of fish in a cooler with no aerator (i can't speel) and see what happens. fish need oxygen just like the rest of us, except they get theirs out of the water with their gills. sorry i know i'm too analytical, i always ruin jokes lmao.

hahaah i was going to say the same thing , yes a fish can drown, if theres no oxygen in the water ..try putting your fish in the toilet bowl instead of its tank and see what happens
