and sadly my first car ended up being a crash car lol

And civics are nice, I'm on my 2 civic (3rd car)
 
i would say a acura integra, they are ultra reliable. i have owned a few of them and never had any probolems. 94+ of course because the older ones ride like crap...
 
mazda 626 v6 5 speed... mine had 205k miles and didnt use a drop of oil, and stil had 170 psi compressoin on all 6 cylinders!!! or amazda mx6 gt or probe gt.. all share the klde motor in the 626.. parts are cheap to! stainless steal headers can be bought new off ebay for 130 bucks

try to find a earily subaru, 240, maybe even a mkIII supra(if you got money for parts... they aint cheap). Dont buy a dsm or old vw. nothing but problems. Hey, if you have the skills, find an old cressida(rwd light little ghetto thing) and drop a 1jz in that biotch like alot of people do.

i have an idea, you are 16. why not get a car that isn't going to cost you an arm and leg every month and something that will be reliable.
any 2 door car will be costly. any tuner will be cost.

hell the only "new stuff" was the muffler, msd coil and wires .. rest was used parts son.. used 52mm tb, used mopar ecu, header was onthe car, and rest is modded stock parts, ported stock intake and so on

stay the hell away from the eclipses and talons, especially the ones with that dumbass 4 lower control arm setup. they eat balljoints and they're not cheap to replace.



my first car was an 89 cutlass supreme with a 2.8l v6 in it. it was loud, and got pretty decent mileage and could get out of its own way when it needed to.
 
i had a supercharged vr it was awesome...not very reliable but when it ran....it ran!!! had a 87 16v gti....

i actually aked turd if that was my old gti, it had a maroon hood when i sold it, then it ended up out near greensburgh/turds area, it was my 6th veedub in a row, a fox, sciracco, 2 gti's and 2 jettas
the 87 1.8 16v like turds was extremly fast, smoked every honda and neon it ever ran !!!!!
they dont have 140mph speedo's just for show
but the gti was not my fastest, that was my 91 jetta gli, awsome car...
2.0 16 valve, header, 4 wheel disc big brakes, recarro racing seats, bbs rims with 50 series tires, all factory
i'd luv to find another one someday
never fooled with the vr6's but can only imagine,
and lemme just say this, those vw watercooled engines are bullet proof,
i beat the piss outta of all 5 of them with zero engine troubles, and the sciracco i had was over 275,000 miles, also had a beater jetta with 185,000 on it
tons of mods available for the veedubs also, check nuespeed.com and vwfixx.com has a classified section with some sweet deals on cars and mods
german engineering over rice burners all day long !!!!!!!!

yea the gti was pretty quick for what it was....and wicked cheap on insurance, and you can find one that is pretty mint for 2k or less.....i paid 1300 for mine and it was pretty decent...
 
fk vw's.. go to a parts store and look up parts for them.. brando knows what im talkin about.. 98-99 jetta.,.. the shape of the gas cap an d location of the rear plate, depend on what parts you have ( built at differant factorys?)

Absolutly nothing but why buy a 7mgte when a 1jz is just as available and not much more? I'd like to do a 2jz swap in my car when my 7m's bottom end takes a sh*t from the power its going to be taking next year.
 
Im not a car expert, but my personal favorites, id go with a 3000gt, Evo VIII or Eclipse..yea im a mitsubishi guy xD but it will be VERY hard to find one in good condition, since they ran so good ppl drove them to the ground...

Other than a mitsu, id go with a Acura Integra Type R(love those cars, so sexy and fast)
 
^ evo 8's are dirty. we have one that comes to our shop regularly. i just did an alignment on it a couple weeks ago, had to snap a shot while the boss was away. Good thing about my job is taking cars for road tests :D Sweet baby jesus this thing has balls.
