Hey, this is my first post on here. I have been reading through the forums for a couple weeks now. I bought a blaster in a basket. It has been through 2 owners that haven't been able to get it running since a piston melted. I started checking things and first found out I didn't have spark. So I removed the TORS system, checked resistance of the stator and coil (good). Now I could get it to start up but it wouldn't rev up. I tripple checked the carb and jets, checked the engine for crankcase leaks (good). I talked to the original owner again and he said it ran fine until the piston went. He replaced the piston and had the cyl bored. I read on the forums about putting the piston in backwards so I removed the cyl and there it was, piston in backwards! It fired right up and runs great. Now I want to have the cyl ported and put a pipe on it. The list is just starting. :D
Thanks to this forum for all the good info!

good job !

many times I have seen people put pistons in backwards. Its more comon on 4 strokes because they dont have the big windows on the skirt, but still.
people do weird things

nice! this forum has been really helpful for me too. im a new blaster owner and this forum has helped with all my trouble. then i decided to donate instead of paying a technician:D
