You guys have been great so far when telling me how things will work out but I still have a few questions left or things I can find exactly when searching so bear with me!
1) How much wider is the banshee axle than stock blaster?
2) Do I need to/should I replace axle bearings or can I just repack them if they are still in good shape?
3) With the brakes I'll need to replace the brake hub with a banshees fixed brake hub? Will the blaster brake disc fit on that hub? I've got Awk's brake kit but is there anything I should be worried about when moving from the floating disc to a fixed one or is that only something I would worry about if I still had cable brakes?

1. About 3 3/4" wider!

2. No need to replace the axle bearings if they are in good shape, if you feel like you need to change the grease, pop both seals out, wash out the old grease. Then put the same amount of grease that was in them back in.

There is no need to go overboard in filling the bearings full of grease, it creates friction and may overheat the bearings and pop the seal out!

If there is too much grease in a bearing when it heats up, grease will push its way past the dust covers (seals if you like) and may be come contaminated by water or dirt.
When the bearing cools that contaminated grease can be drawn back into the bearing, which will shorten a bearings life.

3. Ask Awk about his brake modification that is his territory!

I have Awks setup with the banshee axle. I ended up having to put the bracket on the inside of the carrier, and space the caliper over the disc with washers. The bracket was too thick to go on the outside. It pushed the caliper too far off center if I remember correctly. Other than that I'm golden!

yes, the gsxr brakes can be made to work with the banshee fixed disc, the dual opposing pistons of the caliper allow each brake pad to move independently for even pad wear on fixed or floating discs.
as mentioned, spacers will be required. I found some aluminum spacers at ace hardware and drilled them for the m8 bolt, then shaved them down to the desired thickness (3/8" i think) to center the caliper on the disc.
washers will work too.
the set I rigged for someone here local...I don't remember having to put the bracket inside the carrier ear ?
as thats away from the direction the caliper needs to move, but if fast says he did ?....look into both positions.

This is the ultimate blaster place. Everyone has been there and done that. That's the great thing about this site. Google any blaster problem, and blasterforum is gaurenteed to be first listed. I've been on here almost everyday for 2 years. Never gets old. Maybe it's time to start supporting the forum

Yeah I've noticed the same trend! If you've got a question then someone on here has an answer. I've got a stack of papers sitting on my work bench that are all printed form BF with tutorials and just useful blaster knowledge in general.
