ok, so i suspected i might be having some tors issues so i tried to disconnect it. i cut the yellow/black , black wires the carb plugs into and crossed them then unplugged the throttle switch under the hood but it still didnt want to start so i crossed the wires the throttle switch would plug into and it fired right up and the problem i was having was gone. so i let idle for mabey 20 seconds and it stalls now it wont even fire????!!!??? i tried putting everything back and still nothing.... any ideas??? does anyone think that crossing the throttle wires did anything? weird how it started right up then stalls with nothing now.... help a noober out guys!!! I:I

do u mean spliced the wires together when you say crossed them? If so then that could be the problem...I'm not sure how different the 03+ tors is but on my 96 all i had to do was unplug the 2 plugs to disable it

05, the wires going to the carb, it has that grey connector disconnect it and cut off the connecter and splice those wires and twist them together, now on the throttle follow the wire to under the hood till the connector its black disconnect the plug connector. i also bought the tors eliminator kit which eliminates that big thing on top of the carb , it makes it easier to work on your carb. good luck

yeah thats what i meant, on the tors removal in the diy it says the circut going to the tors unit needs to be completed and ive seen it before on other's machines and it worked fine. i will give that a shot though.

thats what i did and it didnt want to start, it would fire a little but not start, when i spliced the throttle wires together it started right up and ran smooth for about 20-30 seconds, now northing at all.......

yup, and it wouldnt start untill i spliced those wires together. could the stator be fried?? doesnt seem like it should but idk whats up. lol its been so trouble free untill recently.... :( :(

have u tried a new plug in it yet........if i remember right the 03 is a diffrent than the 02 wiring for the TOR

you should just remove the whole system from the harness and all. This way there should be no problems with any thing.

Do you need to istall the idle screw in the newer years like I do for my 89 Blaster

haha nice tip but it really isnt helping me now.... i plan to just get a bigger carb and not have to mess with my old one and a tors removal kit. im jsut trying to get it to run so i can ride.

those wires at the switch should be open not connected.....and follow the switch wires down in to the hood and unplug it there

SCOOOOOORE!!!!!! just got in from ripping with the blaster and it hauls balls I:I I:I. it was a tors issue all along. im going to go out there and put this in print so noone else has the same problem.

ON A 03+ YOU HAVE TO SPLICE BOTH THE TORS WIRES TO YOUR CARB AND THE WIRES YOUR THROTTLE PLUGS INTO. must be done or it wont start.

phwew... im so relieved lol I:I I:I I:I I:I
