Well I went riding the other day and did some hill climbs, Problem I am having is I can't steer going up the hill because the wheels are off the ground. Now mind you I'm still learning so I was climbing in first so if I was able to climb in 2nd it might help slightly, but I was curious if going to a +3 or +4 swinger would make a difference in longitudinal stability and help keep the front wheels on the ground.

PS tessa (the GF) says hi to everyone

extending you swing arms is not going to help longitudinally. Generally longer swing arms are for bustin corners sideways when racing, I have an 05 blaster, pretty well stock, and i hill climb the sh*t out of it, and gear 2 is definatley the way to go, just get speed beforehand, other than that lean forward and pray, you can always tap the rear brake to set yourself back down

in so many ways you are wrong

1. a +4 swinger will help you keep the front end down

2. dont hit the brakes on a hill clime or you will be rolling over backwards

hill climb bike check out the long ass swingarm

ultimately the extended swinger is the way to go, but standing up, leaning forward has worked for years
and tell tessa the "ol man" said "hi" back, now lets see some pics of this supposed girlfreind, or you're lying!!!!!!!

longer swing arm wont help keep the front end down wow that dont make any sense and if im on a hill and the quads flipign im not gana hit the back brakes im gana get the f*** off the quad b4 it takes me with it

/\/\/\/\ sounds like some past experience on them big coal hills in nanty-glo ??? takes awhile for that coal to work its way out of your hands and ass, doesn't it???

going up the hill by the old stealbuilding and 3rd gear wide open rock in the middle i didnt see at first quad boged down and so slowy start goinign down the hil im going a bit to fast so i hit the front brakes and one of the tires lock up so i go sideways and then i just jump quad goes down the hill i land in a pille of jagger bushes gas pouring everywhere my leg hurts like a b**** and my bro and firned are just staring at me instead of helping me flip it back over lol but some dude was taken scrap and helped me flip it back over and its not the coal dirt in my hands its my hair that stuff stays there for weeks lol

my +4 swinger definatly helps keep the front wheels down in the dirt but it takes a little of the fun out of it when your just playing around on flat ground. also when you bring it up in a wheelie (if you have enough power) it is a really weird feeling like your sitting on a horses back and that horse is on its back legs. i been toying with the idea of throwing a stock swinger back on the beast for a day just to test the waters and see if its even possible to keep the front wheels down without pussy foot'n.

well I don't hardly ever ride wheelies, on purpose anyways. If I get to ride this weekend I'll try hitting the hills in 2nd and see what happens, as far as the lean forward and gas it, I was sitting as far forward on the seat as I could basically on top of the fuel tank and was leaning over the bars and still had the front wheels off the ground specailly if you happen to hit high spots, tree roots, or when the ground lvled out at the top.
