right where the expansion chamber and the muffler meet, my blaster leaks a ton of exhaust ... like there's more smoke coming from there, than from my actual silincer lol is there anything i can use to seal this leak with? i thought about getting a piece of radiator hose, and clamping it in between where the expansion chamber and muffler meet, but i thought it would melt ... any suggestions? i would really appreciate it

yeah and it also didnt help that i put a sh*t load of oil on the gas lol i just rebuilt my motor and my neighbor (a mechanic) said that i should put more oil than usual for the break in ... i put like 7 ounces for 2 gallons and it's smoking like a beast lol i know it smoking way too much cuz my older blaster didn't smoke half as bad ... it was so bad that my neighbor came all pissed and told me to cut if off lol. should i change the gas and run less oil? should i just put more gas in the tank to dilute the mixture? or just leave it as is until it breaks in? and also is there any law that can forces me to cut my blaster off cuz it's smoking too bad ? lol i would of told my neighbor to f*ck off but i was just smart and cut the blasty off to avoid any popo problems.

can i run 40 :1 ? cuz it's smoking is out of normal? i actually added 7 ounces to about 1.7 gallons and it was insane. my friends yz 250 doesnt even come close to what my blaster was pumping out of the exhaust.... my blaster looked like an exterminator truck coming around the neighborhood to kill mosquitos lol just look at the attached pic... and that was taken like 2 minutes after i cut the motor off....

sounds to me like you need a new smash gasket in there. its a $3 part at your local dealership and should seal it up just fine. clean the area on both the head and pipe really good. lay the new smash gasket in place and bolt it up tight.

i think you mean crush gasket.
and i think he's talking about the seal between the pipe and the silencer. not at the head.
i just took the rubberish hose clamp thing off my stocker and put it on my f7.

i need a new one, but i have an idea. high temp tubing with 2 pipe clamps should do it. and do it cleanly. compared to using some liquid high temp gasket or osmething else.

Go get a new stock gasket for between the pipe and silencer, and make sure the clamps are nice and tight!!

Using RTV or something liquid could get messy, but would work. It would just suck to clean it all up when you had to R&R something though.

hose clamping some high temp rubber on there may do the trick.....

But, the old fashioned way, hehe, or the redneck way we used to fix this was take a beer can, or soda if you're not 21 and cut the top and bottom off, and slit it down the side, so you essentially are now working with a nice thin, curved piece of sheet metal. Trim to size. If you F up, you probably have plenty more hanging around!! Now you can use either some hose clamps, some thin wire, or both to secure the sheet metal. Be careful of the sharp edges!! Once you figure out the size piece that works best to seal the gap up you can try to make it so that your favorite beer or soda logo is displayed on your pipe...

I rolled mine down a hill. It ripped the header and silencer apart, i drove it back to the truck and found a piece of radiator hose in back of the truck, cut it down to size and used a couple hose clamps. Been on there almost a month no problem so far. (Could of saved an hour if I would of had the allen wrench for the exhaust clamp on there but sh*t happens).
