When my engine blew and i found my head was cracked i purchased a new head. This one had a bolt that broke on the exhaust port where the pipe comes out. The other bolt is tight but this one leaks exhaust and i was wondering if this is anything besides re-tapping the thread to stop the leak? Thanks

you can use gasket sealer but the exhaust will be hanging on 1 bolt, that to me is like using a duct tape to fix a crack in a dam wall.

try get the broken stud out. either grip it with a vice grip if it protrudes out the cyl or if the snap is recessed, drill a pilot hole down the middle and either srew a salf tapping screw into the hole and try back out the stud with that or use a easy-out reverse tap thingy--http://www.brokentap.com/easy-outs.html

here in holland we have a very simple solution for this we call it a helicoil just drill the hole out to 10mm and with a big screwdriver you can drive a helicoil in and you have new m8 thread works great

ja heicoils will work too. but not necessary unless the thread is stuffed. if you can get it out without having to drill, its obviously best.
