I'm getting my wheeler back together to ride this weekend and it's had an exhaust leak so i took the pipe off and this gasket feel apart? Looks almost like just an o-ring I know someone has had this problem. What do you use in it seems like a regular o-ring would melt. I dont really have time to order anything. Thanks.

Uh, oh. I'd use some high-temp RTV silicone for now. Yes, that is an O ring. No, you cant use a regular one; they will indeed melt. You need a high-temp O ring for the pipe; might be able to use a Toomey one if you can't find a LRD replacement. For now, I'd goop it, try my best to re-use the old one, and order a new ring for later on.

^Yeah, I've heard that lately...seems like LRD stuff is disappearing, at least for 2-strokes. You can try the local parts store, but just be sure that whatever O ring you get is for a hi-temp application. Otherwise you're gonna end up with only so much melted black goo oozing out of your exhaust. Its worth a shot; a parts store can probably point you in the right direction.

you can get em off ebay or from a dealer, but they dont sell them for blasters so you gotta get a pack of 2 for a banshee and youll have an extra one for next time

Fastenal stores can get you any type/size/temp of oring you'll ever need. I just had them get me some hi-temp ones for one of my machines at work.

My gasket from Toomey died too. After I put it on oil leaks out of the area where pipe connects to flange. Could this cause the mid and high range to have no power. Base gasket just replaced. Any help would be great

ya fastneal is the place where i get alot of my bolts because almost all of the time they have what you need in stock or they can get it next day but i dident know they had o rings

I will have to order new orings. And try high temp silicone. But without the ring would it cause oil to leak out from the flange area.
