ok just rebuilt engine and now my tranny took a turd. so tearing it back down. what kind of mods should/could i do while apart? anything from like 50-100bucks. just any ideas/tricks would be awesome. should i just replace all the bearings while apart? or if they are ok..just leave em alone?

you can modify the shift star... if the bearings are good don't mess with them, replace all your seals and buy a new clutch kit. theres not much you can mod in the transmission??

shift pro and shift star mod. there are other things you can do but you dont need em, like an over ride trans or back cut trans....while your in there, change all the seals, normally i would change any bearings.......but you said it was pretty fresh, im in the same boat with my shee, put it together, rode the hell out of it, now i have a trans issue..so i have to get a seal kit, and fix my trans issue....but banshee cases split top to bottom...not side to side like everythnig else...so mines an easy fix.i dont even have to remove the top end and replace all the gaskets..lol

i didnt know that about the shee that kinda cool

well it wouldnt shift ne higer than 3rd..so i yanked on the shifter and it snapped off i guess near the shift star. so why else wouldnt it shift into 3rd? idk. how do you mod the shift star and what does that do to it?

well..reason it wouldnt shift...one of the teeth that interlock wen you shift broke off and got jammed up in there. thankfully i had a spare tranny. next question...what do i use to seal the case back up? there wasnt a gasket or anything? just metal to metal??

i believe the stuff is called Yamabond 3 or 4 ur local dealer should carry it. never metal to metal on anything bro.

when i put this tranny back in..will i have to guess what gear its in? like will the shift star automatically go where its supposed to? lol idk if im explaining this good enough
