- any modifications to the motor (air filter, bigger carb, ect)
- any recent motor troubles to cause this. was it running before and what has changed.
- HAVE YOU LEAK TESTED
- air screw set correctly
- have you recently plug chopped to set jetting
- any other info, we cant just go on "it was running now its not" kinda posts.
i started the engine in the morning 3 times but connected back the tors system then took off the yellow/black and the black/white then kicked it started up and gave it throttle and worked took it for a drive for like 15 mins then took the carb off and put on the other one i have because the other one makes the blaster run faster so i kick started and then back fires or turns on but give it throttle and shuts down and i dont like to use the carb it runs with because it drinks a lot of gas
But it works fine with the other carb? Are they both stock carbs? Whats the jetting in them? A carb jetted lean will make it run much faster right up until it fries your piston!
These do drink alot of gas, but the gas also helps cool the engine
yea i got 2 carbs one is from a friend 2004 blaster and mine is older cant find out the info on it and yea there both stock. how do i check the jetting
Your post above describing what you did makes absolutely zero sense. Try again to describe exactly what worked and what didn't. In your description, include what you used for a carb top and cable, TORS brick, etc. Most importantly, use punctuation.
Take the float bowl off the carb. Main jet is in the center, should have a number on it. If the carbs are both stock, there is no advantage to using one or the other, unless one is faulty. They will have to be tuned exactly the same in order to keep your engine running right, and not melt your piston.
