Sup guys just picked up this blaster with a siezed engine. I took the engine out rings were rusted to the cylinder walls. I pulled the head got the piston out. It needs rings piston is new and fine. the bottom crank was rusted too so i sprayed a junk load of wd 40 in there and wiggled it untill it broke free. So now its moving great. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER WITH A NEW TOP END WILL IT BLOW UP?? OR WILL THE CRANK BEARINGS GO BAD?? its going to need a new case cuz the guy i got it from kicked it untill he cracked the case. Another question can i leave the case alone since its on the top of the clutch side of the case??? will that have any effect on the combustion??? no right??? let me know whatya thinking thanks!!!!!!!!

Bearings are precision units and rust on the races and balls will end in premature failure. I suggest you split it, change out the crank bearings and get the crankshaft rebuilt. You're looking $150 and then the bottom end will be good as new and ready to rock and roll.

Pictures would help! But yes, what they said is all valuable information. Dont cut corners, your just going to dig yourself deeper and deeper in a hole

Sounds like your motor has been given a drink of H2O. i would be replacing all bearings and seals in the crankcase area.

Not sure where the crack is in your case, in the crankcase or gearbox. Either place it could need repairing as it may leak air or oil.

crack it at the top near the kicker and the bolt hole next to the kicker for the clutch cover. It really not than bad can deff be fixed
