So this is my first atv I chose a blaster because theyre light somewhat fast and easy to build and work on. so I got mine for 800 somewhat peiced together but in good shape when I bought it needed to be jetted 5th and 6th gear the top end backfired and had no power so I tried to tackle this, I am very mechanical I have wrenched on many cars from bodywork to engine builds, anyways I messed it up could barely get it started. so I took it to a local shop and they tried to tell me I had no compression when it was just rebuilt and I had 120 psi before I brought it there so when I picked it up pissed off I went home and tested it again.. 122psi so I then had my buddies friend who works at an atv racing shop try and fix it on the side he can only get gears 123 to run right but he says jetting is spot on he says it has to be something with the timing does this sound accurate I broke a woodruff key and replaced with the hardware store equivelant could that be it?
