Ok so I got my engine torn down to nothing.

first question is: while I have it apart should I just replace all seals and bearings? if so what brand does everyone recommend and where is the best/cheapest place to get them?

next question: I need a new crank, what should I go with? What brand and what stroke (stock, +3) ?

for gasket I am going to order a full cometic kit, from what I hear they are very good!?

last question would be where to get a piston for my vitos bbk?

what my bike has to help you with what would be best is, vito's bbk, 35 pwk, cfm airbox, no lip, vf2, dmc alien full exhaust

I would replace all seals and bearings since its already apart, that way you know everything is solid.

Can't give good advise on the crank so i wont comment.

For gaskets i would go full OEM. Can't beat the reliability of OEM.

replace all seals and bearings while its tore down so you wont have to later.

Still have my stock crank so idk bout cranks. But whatever you do decide, make sure to have it checked for runout and trued. Most new cranks arent ready to go right in the bike.

And full OEM is best for gaskets, but I here of a lot of people on here getting cometic gaskets and having no problems at all.

Depends on the budget and desired power output.

The stroker crank isn't much more than a new stock stroke crank. Used cranks in good shape can be had less expensive than both, but there won't be any power increase in that.

I would only replace bearings and seal which need replacement. Seals aren't as big a deal to replace if any even look suspicious. Replacing all of the bearings just for the heck of it is going to really blow the budget out of the water...

Carnz is right, OEM gaskets are hard to beat.

Goin to with a 3mm talk to ur builder cause u have to match the ports and i would have him cut the head so u dont need to run the spacer plate

right now i have 200.00 to put into it and next month i will have another 200-300.00 but i want to have it together then instead of not riding another month just for another 200.00 to put into it. hope this helps

The stroker crank + porting to match is gonna be $300+ and because it's race season, most of the porters are going to be backed up...

You may end up better off getting a decent stock length crank and waiting until you've got time to have the engine all torn apart (and sitting for some time) to do the stroker and porting.

1 in 1,000 cranks will be slightly out of spec brand new because they're punched out on a press by the thousands per hour. The odds are in your favor for having a crank which is in perfect running condition even if you didn't check it.

If your crank is out of spec, it will cause vibration and eventually will chew the crank bearings up. This process may take years if the crank isn't too far out of spec.

Then u better go with a stock crank rick u wont have enough money bearin if want to replace all of them will run bout 110 oil seal and gasket will run 70 that not includein the crank so i say the 3mm is out of the question right know

the difference between stock or the +3 crank is only 20.00 bucks right now as it is on sale. but if i went with the +3 would anything else need to be done to the engine at all?

i have no complaints with my vitos +3, with proper porting its a great addition I:I and cometic EST gaskets hands down, nuff said :D

the only problem i am having is there isn't any well known 2 stroke builders around here and to ship it to ken and back is just to expensive for this year. would it be worth it to get the vitos +3 and put in this year with no porting and maybe next year or the year after send it away for porting? or should i just get a stock crank?

Are you running the Vitos 240?

Anyways, it will still be fine with the stroker crank and still make more power. It's just port matching to the stroker helps a lot more.

ok so worth my money to get the plus 3 for now and when i can get the porting done. also does anyone know where to get a bbk piston? i have heard that only the cast ones from vitos is all that is available?? thanks for all the help so far!

Yea i would do the stroker while its apart. You can run the spacer plate until u have time and money to get porting and the head done
