Here is an easy mod anyone can do when relocating the keyswitch. I just used a little piece of aluminum and a few screws. Don't forget measure twice cut once. Or in my case measure about 12 times, still get it wrong and then do it all over again.

Stock keyswitch.
It really could only blow the stator if you somehow had the pick-up gounded.

good example of y we should make things hard for people to steal like mayb taking the key out hahah

i like that but im liking the way i did mine alot better... I drilled a hole in my right side fender like a new 450.... Looks good and clean... Some people ask me where the key is at lol and I just laugh...

well first of all i dont have a key so what i want to do is make a stealth switch hidden somewere. i still have my teather killswitch i could use and just leave the hidden switch on if its hard to get at, but i wana make it so it will not start if they cant find it, and they aint finding it so i need a good as spot. any ideas? im good, so i could mount it anywhere, just need ideas.

Don't tell anyone (haha) but I've got my ignition setup so that it is in fact in the 'off' position, however, it's just bypassed. If I didn't ride at night sometimes I'd ditch the light and the stupid switch thing on the handle bars and just have a kill switch...but I do need the light...because I may go for a rip right now!! I think it's kinda silly to have a key for an ATV...but that's just my opinion.

If someone has a mind to steal an ATV, well, the key isn't going to stop them. Hell, sometimes just the "on-off" switch stops me from starting it!!
