DVD file converting issue

Hi guys, need some help with video converting, i have acamcorder video filme in 1440 x 1080 HD. i want to convert it and save it to bhurn onto DVD that can be used in an everyday DVD player, i need a smaller resolution because the HD version is massively large and just too big for practical use. (its a euro tour video of 2 weeks)
im using sony vegas pro 10, i beleive MPEG2 is the correct format, but what resolution? 720x480?

DVD NTSC was automatically selected and is 720x480 is this correct?

Yeah, that sounds about right. I would choose that.
