dual exaust on blaster

i agree w/ daniel. this is kind of a superficial idea. sacrificing performance for looks.
but hey, if you're still only running the stock pipe anyway it couldn't really hurt that much. if you were running a good a-m pipe i'd say this idea would be working backwards.
if you do try this, make sure you put your Y connector in as far back toward the silencer as possible. the expansion chamber is really sensitive to even minor modifications.

i think it would work out more because the faster u take out teh smoke from the engine the more it puts out and it wood look sweet

lol ya that would be a dual smoke cloud. My idea is not to have two exapansion chambers just one going into a dual pipe.So i should make the y probably around were it splits into two maybe further up a bit.probably have to make some heat shields so i don't melt any wires ect.

Two pipes look cool of course, but when u get down to it, duals on a single cylinder motor makes no sense other than appearance. The flow will not be as effecient as a single, not to mention the added weight. If it were a show bike, then maybe, but not very practical in my opinion.

you guys never see a single cylinder with a dual exhaust man i've see lots.i don't think it should be less power don't make any sense.

Personally I can't say I've seen a single cylinder w/duals on anything much less a 2-stroke. Probably because it makes no sense. All it would do is cause unnecessary turbulence in the exhaust flow. While I'm not sure, I don't think a 2-stroke would be as sensitive to this as a 4-poke, due to the fact that it would be after the stinger and it bottle necks down in the stinger. The chamber is already turbulent due to its nature, but that is all carefully planned controlled chaos. any little thing may cause a disturbance in the pulse of the chamber which could have a negative effect on your motors efficiency.

i made adual exhaust for my push lawn mower in highschool... made it out of water pipes and connectors.. the tips were 1 inch slash cut tips custom made by me!!.. it complemented the motor work i did to it, driled out jet, shaved the head as far as possible, and port work!!!.. needless to say i hit achunk of sinder block with it and destroyed the blade and the block and didnt even bog the motor... it wa s abiiish to start though, and ended up smoking the piston cuz it was to high of compression for 87 octane

I think if it was able to be done it would have to be custom built by a respectable exhaust company that really knows what they are doing. There is a lot of math that goes into making pipes to create the right back pressures that the engine needs. It would be really sick looking if it could be done.

on a 2 stroke the pipe does half the work and any alteration to it can and will make or break the power potential i n a big way .this dual pipe idea might be a fun way to kill time and look unique but unless your porting and exhaust design is working in unison with each other in the given target rpm range of the sonic reverse wave you will almost always lose horsepower everywhere in the powerband. the average guy without a pipe building program and design knowledge is not going to likely make anything better than even stock on a 2 stroke.every bend diamater and length is crictical to the output it is way more complicated than most realize.

waste of time in my opinion, but if you're going for something different how about removing the airbox and center mounting a silencer LTR450 style? Could be neat.
