Douglas aluminum rims=GARBAGE!

i have douglas rims with champion beadlock conversions on them, got them for 125 with 1 good holeshot and 1 that was ripped from the bead to the tread.

i like the 8" wheels better for trails especially with the little 18's on there...just not a lot of sidewall to soak up the bumps

ummm.. so are u selling them? :D

hey dualstroke, im looking for some rims on CL right now and might grab it tmrw. trying to ge thim down I:I idk about offing mine for "cheap" being that the tires are damn near new. only problem is that theyre 10" and i cant find a set of used 10" anywhere im trying to avoid buying brand new 190s ive spent alotta $ on wheels already, lets c.. i have THREE sets of tires (20, 22, 18, 2 sets of rims. paying to mount tires was 25 a rim and i mustve did that like 5 times already in a month for tire swaps.. but i'll let u know if anything i'll post them on for sale section

Thats NOT the rims fault its the retard that was running the tire machine! I watched a guy bend my .190 front rim just like that because the machine caught the rim instead of the tire when he tryed breaking the bead. My advise, buy a bead breaker and change them yourself, thats what I do from now on.

haha.. i researched and researched on how to change the tires for hours a couple weeks ago and tried to do it myself.. i couldnt brake the bead for sh*t even drove my car over the fkn tire. not to mention i was afraid of damaging the rim especially with the 125s i had

i know i liked the look and the light weight but like every1 is saying theyre like tin foil :( i got my eye on these rims with hoosier tires. theyre also 10" rims and T9.. i been looking for a set of drag tires for awhile now theyre just so damn expensive but i might snag these if the price aint too high at the end. i havent seen much quads with drag tires on here and i love the look. i dont race i just do alot or street riding so. i might get all four rims and tires for when i street ride or drift in parking lots. leave darkies everywhere lol. na thats mean. i drift when the pavement is wet bc it'll destroy my tires and property

Blue lable rims are to thin @ .125. Those are the cheapest and lightest douglas available. If you buy the thicker .190 you wont see this kind of carnage. I run douglas on all my rides but never .125 or blue lables.

EXACTLY. Blue Labels really have no purpose other than dunes when you care about a couple ounces of weight.

some of u guys dont hit curbs prolly bc theres no curbs where u live. i live in city and i ride mostly on pavement unfortunately so i jump curbs alot only this time i slid into one hard bc i was hitting the corner too fast

Its not that I want to I live IN a city. So I do my test runs on my street and there's a small trail a few blocks from my house that I recently discovered and I mean SMALL. Only big trails around i'd have to load up and drive a good 15min+ so I usually ride up and down my street

I have never ran douglas rims before but i have the g force rims on my 400ex and i have hit some pretty big rocks with them and no bends yet. I have the black ones so of course it chipped the paint but no bends, plus there pretty cheap. I think there around 50 bucks a rim

Really. 50 a rim is pretty good. Where did u get them?

It is unfair to say that "all douglas rims" are junk because you bent one.

Douglas states right away that the blue label wheels are for dunes only. They're far too thin for woods and MX riding. I run black label Douglas rear rims and have had NO trouble with bending. They run straight and true even with Busco trail riding.

As a matter of fact, last time I was at busco I bent a front STEEL rim and the douglas aluminum wheel survived...

That's more like it; douglas blue label rims are VERY fragile. They are designed to be as light as possible to float on sand and spin easier. They are NOT built for anything else.

Go ahead and pony up the dough for the red label wheels and you won't have another complaint unless you tag a tree sideways running 50 mph, in which case you probably won't be able to complain through the full body cast....
