According to UPS tracker my Weisco .040 over piston kit will be coming tommorrow. I also ordered a new wrist pin bearing and a top end gasket set. My question is when I install the head gasket and the gasket that goes between the cylinder and the bottom end do I need to use any type of sealant or do they seal on their own with the heat of the engine??? Thanks.

ok thanks, I'm just comparing it to vehicle engine rebuilds. But there are no water jackets due to the engine being air cooled. I was just curious.

as long as you torque the head and base bolts evenly and to the specifications given in your manual then the gasket will seal itself. the only time they do not is when the bolts torques are uneven or out of spec.
