Im thinking about buying this but 800 dollars for a 2000 yz426f but he says he doesn't know whats wrong but i think he does, what do you guys think is wrong and what it would cost to fix

He seems sort of honest, but never know. I would call him [blocking your number with *67] and ask him some questions and see if he knows the answer right of the bat and he probably is trueful.

sounds sketchy to me.... maybe blown tranny But idk too much about gear boxes, could just be the shift fork but thats the risk you take.

A bent shift fork would not cause it to SLIP when running that would be the clutch. A bent shift fork will cause it to be hard to shift or not shift at all. Also you can't see the shift fork unless you split the cases so there is no way he could know for sure if it is a shift fork. Just go look at it and see. It could just be a bad clutch.

I agree, I would be afraid to buy a 9 year old 4 stroke...It doesn't seem very fishy to me at all. He seems honest about it. If it's slipping going into 4th gear there is nothing wrong with the shifting forks, it's the clutch that's slipping.
