DIY PB Front Race Plastic !!!

Well just found out an awesome way to turn your maier race plastic into the PB Vented style hood ! My buddy had a regular Maier style front plastic , and actually ran graphics for someone that was made for the PB vented race fenders. He had put his graphics on the front of it and used a jigsaw to cut out the design for the wire mesh to put in. After he cut the design out exactly similiar to the PB vented plastic , he put the mesh underneath the plastic and drilled 2 holes out to hold the mesh up against the plastic ! Looks so similiar to the PB front race plastic , i thought that was what he bought ! But he said he actually did it himself ! So this is actually a cheap and easy project to make your Maier race fronts into PB vented front plastic ! If you don't understand just let me know !

Well yea back when I joined pb's forums in 05 I thought that, you could clearly see it was a maier hood with ltz400 headlight pattern, but PB really made it stand out with their bike builds and Kurts graphics. I mean they really do a professional A-grade job on the cuts. So I guess technically there isn't anything stopping anyone from buying their own one-piece race front from Maier and doing it themselves, but morally I dont support anyone selling them. More power to all of us that fab our own parts for our own unique look but the game greatly changes when you start selling your home-made parts.

yea for sure , im defianetly not going to start makin and sellin em lol , now tht would be wrong. Im just tryin to help the people who can't afford the PB plastics or wanna do there own design !

common sence like you said. and if your guna make a diy over it, make a diy dont just say yo cutout your miaer race hood to look like project blasters. what id do differently is use a different mesh and attach it to the back differently, instead of using the ugly bolts that go out the front and make it look bad. suggest to pittboss, do that because id buy it, but the bolts ruin the flow of the front.

i did the same thing pb does with my 2003 blaster hood. I just took out my head light and put in the mesh metal. It looks pritty much the same as pb's, but the bolts they use are littler then the ones i used. i couldn't find any smaller ones.

i used marine grade silacone to stick the mesh on my hood just painted it green an glued it around all the edges hasnt came lose yet
