diamond j widening kits

Don't cheap out. Buy some longer a arms. Best mod I ever did to my 250R, and first thing I bought for my Blaster build. Not only do longer A Arms give you more width, they also give you more suspension travel. Something some people don't think about. At 7.1" stock travel, it's a good upgrade.

i am very happy with mine. and i know for a fact that you dont need longer brake lines if you have cable brakes but I know that d.jackson had to get longer lines for his hydro set up.

Theres a guy on ebay that sells a set of lines for about $70. I got mine through him and I ended up getting a set of +3's.

I just looked that kit up online, not for me, moving the a-arm pivots out changes the steering geometry, without actually looking at a bike with it installed I would assume it would definitly add bump steer.

CRXBART: you mentioned 7.1" of travel.... thats what yamaha 'claims"... if you take the springs off of the shocks and cycle the suspension measuring the actual wheel travel, you will come up with a very different number. Yamaha is either smoking crack or they count tire squish as suspension travel.

it does change the steering a bit. I have not noticed any difference as far as overall steering goes. It holds lines just as well as it did before. The only thing I notice is my turning radius is larger but, that is to be expected.

Be carefull with those tie rod ex. that come with the kit.Mine broke with very little ride time on them. You can order a set from cfm,the company that makes the air boxes for 40$

or, since the tie rod extensions are a bit weak, just buy nuts to thread over the part of the extension that your not using. That way it has a bit more strength.

I bent my tie rod extensions on the first ride but ever since I put the nuts on I have has no problems.
