I just took out the Blaster for the first time out today.
It ran pretty good. It's real fast. But whenever you turn the steering to the right or the left. (extreme amounts) the bike dies.
There doens't seem to be any loose cables.

Just disconnected the TORS. Did not help much at all.
Now the bike won't start. It's getting spark, fuel is good.

Doubt it's electrical since it's getting enough spark, so what could it be?
Any suggestions...?
:(

well when u turn ur steering stem it must be pulling on a wire so check the wiring and make sure they are connected all the way

all the wires are good. just took off the carb to have it cleaned. will check reeds as well. but the TORS, it's from a 2001 blaster. is there any wire that should be spliced?
If not, what else could be the prob. Will check spark plug now.

or your float is not adjusted properly if your to low you could be starving for gas at that moment....

take the plug out and blow it off with air...then retry to start, still no start break out the compression gauge, could be toasted....

$20 for the gauge - you might still have some compression - but anything under 100 and you'll be struggling to get it to start

i remeber one my brothers crf150 one time when i was riding it, every time id turn sharp and get on it to come out of a corner it would just rev out or die! so i was thinking i burnt the clutch and took it home, about a week later we started messing with it and here it was the steering stem was pulling the clutch cable when you'd turn it so far each way and it wouldnt release it!! lol

Hmm... That may explain the "dragging clutch" you may have mentioned before. Not sure if you remember Darrell. Will look into it.
Updates- Quad is dissasembled with the exception of basics. wires and hardware. Coils, Gas tank, Motor Etc.
Now it wants to start. It sputters, and you'll get an occational power stroke. then it dies. If you're lucky enough to get it to stay on, it will idle just fine, but as soon as you hit the throttle, it cuts out. It has to be either the TORS or the CDI/stator ignition group. Right?

did you do a compression test? i would rent a tester form auto zone and do that first just to eliminate that part! because its amazing what low compression will make a bike do and you'll think its somthing totally different!!!(or just buy one so you always have one)

Thanks for all of your help everyone. It turns out it was the coil mount. It was cracked. (Little Ground)
Now how did that happen....?

SHE LIVES TO SCREAM AGAIN!!!!!
