Cylinder Hone?

Im bought a new piston and feel a cylinder honing is in order. Im waiting on a full bore job maybe next year when money is better. I did a search on the subject and couldnt fint the info i was looking for. I know how to do the honing job myself.
I just wanted to ask if someone more experienced could reccomend or know what is the best "stone grit" to use, such a 120 or 320 or whatever? Thanks in advance. Matt

i picked up a hone tool from horborfreight and i used that a couple times and it worked fine i haven't had any probs with it.. i just ran it up and down the cyli a couple times and it was clean..
