Im in the process of making mine, I am using stainless though,, and to mount it I am bending to tabs up where your footpegs are and drilling 2 holes and going to mount it behind my pegs, and than under the bumper in the front and possibly weld a center mount somewhere.

lol i had one on my old 250X except i left mine orange! (detour) it toke some pretty good hits and never had problems with it!
