Anyone made a custom seat ? I have been thinking about it and I have an extra seat pan/padding etc.. I don't think it would require much other than reshaping/cutting, glueing the padding, some fabric and some sewing. I am looking to make something similar to the desert seat by Hi flite but with a more attractive shape.

Any ideas or suggestions ?

I made a custom seat for mine and it was well worth it, especially on long rides.
I got this 1 inch high density memory foam from ebay for like $10. I just cut out the shape of the seat
Then I added alittle piece to help from sliding off.
overall I wouldn't own another quad without doing this

Looks awesome MURPY! Did you just stretch a blaster seat cover to fit over all the foam?

Awesome. That's just about exactly what I was looking for with the little step in the rear and all.

X2 on the ,,did you stretch the stock cover or ?

ya its the same seller and all.

I got a seat cover from seller Joe mama on ebay and there was a lot of extra material to do this...I never bought a new oem cover so I dont know how much extra there is but there is no way I could do it with the cover already on there cuz they trim it after stapling.

And i used spray adhesive to attach foam to foam and to make the seat cover stick to the foam with no bumps or folds.....I was gonna do a whole write up on how to do this (thats why I have the pictures )but I just bought my first house and have been too busy

You also have to use a pneumatic staple gun to do this. I tried manual and electric ones and they will only go in like 1mm to the seat pan

I'd call Custom Seats Lousiana and have him do it. He does some amazing work and prices are rock bottom. I'm sending my seat to him after I build my engine. He quoted $220 including return shipping for a 4 material seat including shaving. It's gonna have gripper sides and rear (each 2 different colors) and breathable top.

It's easiest to get up with them on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CustomSeatsOfLouisiana/

$220 is a bit crazy for just a seat in my opinion....including buying the seat cover ,foam, and staple gun I only spent $60 ,a beer or 2 ,and an hour of time

While I'll agree that yours came out pretty well for the investment, $220 including shipping isn't very much for a seat shaved to a custom profile and 4 material cover from a well-known professional.

The extra foam sounds like a great idea. I wouldn't recommend doing anything to fancy to the seat cover though or at least use/reuse something designed for the blaster. I had tried recovering mine and it was a nightmare.
