crankshafts??

You must be joshing me, there is absolutly no way that those mods should need a #350 main jet.. A #250 would be more realistic.

You must have a serious air leak somewhere.

no, i know it doesnt need a jet that big, but when we all bought ours in 04 i didnt really know alot about jetting, so i figured the bigger the better, more fuel=more power. but it never hurt anything so after i learned more about blasters i knew it was too big but it hadnt hurt it so i left it alone, now i want to go back down but cant find the kit i bought all those years ago so im just guna have to get a new kit. and i think in the 9 years ive had it its blown up 3 times, once not long after i got it, then i tried a diff kind of injector oil and it locked up, then when it was stolen it blew up. so untill now ive had hardly no probs with it. and the seals are all new its not leaking air anywhere, the intake boot is good, the only thing ive noticed is when it revs up high it has alot of vibration for a short short time, kinda feels like the clutch side crank bearing. but im not sure.

so i figured the bigger the better, more fuel=more power.

Add air into the equasion and you are correct.

more air = more fuel = more power.

The stock header pipe seems very forgiving when running rich, there is little back pressure to ram the expelled fuel charge back into the cylinder.

Grab your self a #250 #260 main, drop it in, needle on middle clip and plug chop, that beast should fly.

Do not worry about buying a jet kit they seldom have jets that can be used.

the reason i was guna buy a new kit is it came with a new needle an i used that, i looked at my needle and a stock needle that is slightly bent when i changed the slide the other day and mine is a little thicker, so i was guna change it all.

I usually use the needles that come in a kit for cleaning out my ears, they seldom suit anything.

the dynojet jets are numbered different so keep that in mind and have you checked your throttle cable? it could cause your idle to be all stupid

That's funny cause I was starting to wonder that. Makes it kinda useless tho if you needed to go up or down a size.

the idle was high cuz the needle jet was stopped up and i think makin the needle stick. but thats solved now, it just wont open all the way up.

ok took plug out to do a quick compression check and plug had yamabond up in it!!, the first time i kicked it it was 70, second time almost 100, third almost 130.

ok runs alot better now, feels like its opening up more, and the case is full of gas, when i hit the throttle hard its blowin out the flywheel cover.

You may have just diagnosed the problem, and prolly torn the new seal out.

Blown crank seal on the flywheel side causing an air leak.

ok, i havent touched it since friday, untill today, the petcock was leaking around the tank and the gas that was left was gone monday when i checked it, i just figured it ran out on the ground, but could it have went in the cylinder too? it has a new needle and seat but could it be from adjusting the float? maybe open too much? and then when i started it it blew it out through the seal? now it still idles almost perfect and runs out pretty good so what are the odds that the seal is blown? could it blow the fuel out without hurting the seal?

well back to the original topic, crankshafts.. im just guna go ahead and rebuild it im pretty sure the crank bearings are bad,, so which would be better? i know the wiesco comes in a whole kit and is cheaper than the vitos +3 and we mainly just trail ride now. i put the hot rods in my friends bout a month ago and like it but i dont want the same thing. so which will be better? ive got another jug ima bore back to .020 over and port and pollish, the head is shaved, goin with the toomey, and v force 4 reeds. so what ya think??

while you have it apart go ahead and have it ported and pollished, get a good set of reeds and pipe if you dont already. and maybe advance the timing.

blaaster what exactly do you want me to look at? maybe im missin it. i have a clymers manual for mine, is that what you meant? from what i read in that post it was about a manual, i didnt read it all though.

I assumed that with all the trouble you were having with things not going to plan and making incorrect adjustments that you may be playing it by ear by not having a manual.

So I posted a link to a free downloadable manual.

the only problem i had with my wiseco crank is the slots for the keys are too small i had to file the keys down a lil to get them to fit but becides that i like it alot and you cant beat the price
