crankshafts??

i cut the wires off of it no help, i made sure the cable was routed right, took the carb back off an the o ring on the air adj screw was cracked all the way around i changed it and took the carb back apart and guna just let it soak till the morn.
 
ive got another slide ima put in, but i had the back intake hose off of it to watch the slide and when it would rev up the slide was closed all the way, it has alot of scratches in it so ima change it and when i took the carb back apart yesterday the needle guide through the center had sh$t all around it, i didnt take it out the first couple times so maybe when i put it back itll be ok, and hopefully i was just chasin my tail with all the other stuff.
 
I suggest you take the carb apart and clean that $hit out, who knows, it may be causing the needle not to drop all the way down. Thw needle tube is held from the bottom by the main jet and pushes out into the slide bore. There are small holes on the side of it that must be clean also. Make sure the rubber gasket for slide cap is good.
 
ok runs, idles good, has alot of low end and mid, runs almost all the way out but not quit, almost sounds like the plug is fouled but its new too, i played wit the air adj but doesnt really seem to change anything, and that carb is spotless! i let is soak in cleaner all night.
 
im glad you asked that! made me just think what the hell i was doin, i grabbed the wrong ruler,,,, i set it to 2cm, i was guna set it at 20mm.
 
thats close to what the min needed to be but i gues still not enough. im done with it till mon i guess, my petcock/tank gasket just started leaking and i cracked the oil tank, so done for today
 
we have a small engine shop and we were pullin mowers in and i was in a hurry to get them in so i could see if the blaster was guna run right and when i pulled in beside it i turned side ways and the back of the frame hit it and cracked it, just after i filled it up with oil, a few min later saw a big puddle of oil in the floor. now, i took it back apart again and was checking the reeds, it has boyesen pro stock reeds and stock cage, the petals are not sitting all the way down, they were the other day when i flipped them over. i jus dont know where else to really start looking.
 
im jus stuck, ive never had this much trouble with any 2 stroke, even other blasters, ive been thinkin about changing the main jet and needle, the other carb i have has a 220 and mine has a 360, the needle clip i think is in the 2nd hole from the top, but its been that way since right after i bought it and never had a problem with it, so i dont know if thats guna change anything.
 
it was running fine! a few years ago my new banshee and this blaster were stolen, it took about a week before we found them, and both we pretty much f*cked up i had to rebuild both, they put engine oil in the oil tank and fried the top end, i had to cut the piston off cuz it melted around the wrist pin, when i put it back together it ran fine and i parked it in my barn cuz i rode the banshee all the time, then got it out back in the summer and it wouldnt run right, and thats where im at now.
 
but the jet has been in it since 04, i bought a dyno jet kit and put the biggest in mine, a 350 in my friends, and a 340 in my other friends, never any problems.

I dunno what your mods are but they must be quite impressive.

Are you running Alky, because your jets are calling fot it?

There has to be something amiss in the breathing deptartment as a #350 main jet is monsterous, unless you are wildly ported and running a sophicated fuel.

What exactly are your mods so a wild geuess can put you in the ballpark of realistic jetting?
 
nothing drastic, boyesen pro stock reeds, +4 degree key, head shaved, .020 over, cylinder is pollisded not ported, reed spacer, stock head pipe, dg silencer, was guna put the toomey on it but did the banshee first. and i only run 93 in it. just ordered new reeds to see if that was the prob, the same as whats in it now but vitos. and after i soaked that carb last week i know for a fact there is nothing left in it. its spotless.
