Hi guys.
So I split the engine cases and noticed that if i tern the crankshaft by hand, i can see a slight wobble in it on the shaft flywheel side. Now i know I cant run it like this again, cause im sure it will cause vibrations and give some sort of problems.

My question though is, can it be repaired? Cant engineering works make it strait again? or do need to chuck it and get another crank?

Slick's right, it can be trued. I'm not sure what the going rate for labor versus replacement is over there. It may be better to buy another crankshaft ready to run.

I wonder why it's "wobbly" to begin with. They don't generally get out of true inside the motor. Was this engine already rebuilt once? Is this a replacement crank?

This is definitely a first time for me also, I have never seen a crank get wobbled like this. The previous owner did rebuild the motor, and it seized up due to a very bad top end rebuild he had done.
But even with a seized motor I still cant figure out how it can wobble :-/

Ill go pop in at a crankshaft rebuilder and see what he will charge me.

Thanx for your input on this Slick
