Is it ok to use v-blocks to true a crankshaft. Not for a blaster for a trailblazer 250. The crank is very expensive and they want 120 in labor to rebuild. The trailblazer 250 is "detuned" so it is not a very high reving motor. If I rebuild it myself will it last using v blocks. I know that its suposed to be trude to within 1/1000 of and inch. Before I new cranks had to be trude so perfectly I rebuilt the crank on a kt 100 with a shop press, feeler guages, strate edge and my eyeball. That was 3 years ago and it still runs strong. Maybe i just got lucky? What do you guys think? Has anyone ever rebuilt a blaster crank with v-blocks or by any lesser means with any success.
Thanks guys
