Hey guys I'd like to do a survey of

1) What cranks you use

2) Also connecting rods (even though there more like kissing cousins rather that family) lmao

3) Why

4) How many cranks has you or your bike gone through so far.

5) How long have they lasted

6) When you had problems what was it and what did you do about it.

7) Were you happy with customer responce when problems happened, and how it was resolved.

8) How much the cranks were if you want to tell.

9) What kind of riding do you need your cranks for drag, drift, dirt.

10) Engine oil and pre-mix oil as well as mixing ratios (if you have oil inject just say OJ)

I thank you guys
I have a hotrods stock crank, it's relatively new and I dont know if these things happen. But there's some minisquell wobble side to side as well as up/down like the needle bearing on the bottom end of the rod is wore some.

Good, informative poll. However I think you should add type and/or amount of oiling into equation. As to me, 50+hrs on stock(?) that was in it, half on injection, half 28:1 benol. Side clearance is getting little loose.

Good poll idea, however are we talking connecting rods or crankshafts?

Also add application, like trail riding, dragging, Ect.

If you have any up and down movement on the con rod the needle bearing could need replacment.

Thanks blaaster so sounds good all I gotta do is replace a $16 needle bearing.
Here we go VVV
1) What cranks you use? Hotrods stock length crankshaft.

2) Also connecting rods (even though there more like kissing cousins rather that family) lmao. pass

3) Why? Hot rods is supposed to be up there with the big 3 in crankshafts.

4) How many cranks has you or your bike gone through so far. None but it appears I'll have to replace a needle bearing soetime in the near future.

5) How long have they lasted? At least 3-4 years...runing on very minimal time.

6) When you had problems what was it and what did you do about it. Contacted hotrods ind

7) Were you happy with customer responce when problems happened, and how it was resolved? Yes because they were helpfull and understanding, but the biotch is I dont have reciepts to be able to send it back and trade it in for a new one. Because the 2nd owner neglected to divulge said information to me so....What I will do is simple split the cases take out the rod and have it pressed with new bearings and save a ton on a new rod.

8) How much the cranks were if you want to tell? I'd rather not tell but I can give estimates as high as $190-178 or a $23 bearing when all said and done

9) What kind of riding do you need your cranks for drag, drift, dirt. I'd like to use it for drag racing for fun. Cause my grandfather raced dirt ovals most of his life when ever he wasent away working on the railroad. That's what my dad and somewhat suceffuly I will say he placed 17th in michigan state wide in 1995 Sand dragging at silver lake and it's what I want to do as well...Although I have to say drifting is bad ass every turn a powerslide with the throttle pined.

10) Engine oil and pre-mix oil as well as mixing ratios (if you have oil inject just say OJ) I like amsoil so I use Amsoil 10w-40 motorcycle oil. So my premix is Amsoil Domiator 32:1W/Premium

I will kick off.
