couple of questions

wow that is excessive smoke! I didn't imagine it would be that bad.

I've never had a crank seal go bad on me, so ron and freek may be right on the money. It was good to check the jet though, 240 should be fine.

Out of curiosity, do you pre-mix or still use the oil pump? You might have said earlier but I'm too lazy to go back to the begining of the thread and look :)

timing

When you reassemble the gears line up the timing marks on the big gear that drives the balance shaft and the job is a piece of cake. If you have trouble getting the seal out drill a small hole in it and screw in a small sheet metal screw and pull out the seal. Easy job. By the way make sure you tighten the crank nut to the proper spec. when that baby comes off at high RPMs it tears the hell out of the clutch basket and cover=))

holy smoke haha it looks like your doing pest control with that thing.
i hope you get it fixed i know how my life is without my quad haha boring.

So its just the crank seal on the clutch side? Because I had it ideling today and when I took the oil fill plug out it revved higher. Is that supposed to happen? I want to order parts but I need to know what to order.
Thanks

Well I ordered the crank seal so Im pretty sure that should clear it up. As for the case halves I hope not b/c I don't think I'd tackle a project like splitting the cases.
