couple of questions

ive got a 2001 blaster, i just recently got the top end rebuild can you guys watch my video of it runnin and let me know if it sounds right..also i wanna buy tires but dont know which ones i should get..i mostly do trail riding and ride on sand and grass and gravel any suggestions? plz include link

That's a pretty rough idle, dunno if anything is wrong but someone will let you know if there is

who did the top end work? that sounds a little loud. it sounds like piston slap or a bearing.

that sounds like an awful lot of noise for a fresh rebuild, crumby idle or not. oil injected or mix gas? was anything else done or just a piston n bore, what size? any mods or completely stock? have you done the heat cycles yet? a little more info might help all of us.

its oil injected... .20 over...ive turned it on for 15 mins and turned it off for another 15 mins and i repeated this 3times now...and it was just the piston and the bore and its stock

i listened to the video a couple of times. its either piston slap or, you have a rod/crank bearing noise. it doesnt sound right at all. what was the reason you do the top end to begin with?

That does not sound good at all. I would take it back to the shop. That's a hell of a rattle .

thats a lotta knockin right? bearings sound more off tempo??? piston slap is much more rythmic am i right?

I'm playing on an iPhone so it's not the best sound. Something sounds off and it should be the shop that has to deal with because they did the work.

i agree Matt, bring it back to the shop that did the work and get your money for labor back, then either bring it to a more Reputable shop or do the work yourself. thats my .02

Did they bore it for a new piston??

You don't fix it. You take it back to them and make them fix it no charge.

Nice looking bike I:I It does sound like its idling rough but that could be due to the camera you were using to record, i don't know for sure. I would go with ITP Holeshots, or Maxxis Razrs. I run the Holeshots and i get good grip and they last a long time.
