The project I picked up for the wife needs new controls, so I want to buy once, and get something that her smaller hands can more easily reach and pull. Are there any controls that will bring the lever closer to the grip, and possibly reduce effort as well?

Thanks!

Hmmm. They seem like they would be perfect, but will the brake lever work on a cable setup? I only see pics of hydro brake levers.

Man I am ready to pull the trigger on the ASVs, but dont want to buy them until I know the brake lever works with cable setups. I guess I'll call the seller tomorrow and verify they will work.

look into brake/ clutch levers for motor cross bikes... the clutch lever on my cr250 was made to pull with 2 fingers and the front brake lever was made to pull with one finger!!

one finger on the front brake would pull enough to endo

Thanks gys. I dont think pull is quite as important as reach in this case. She can ride my Warrior without too much issue. She just has to really reach for the lever. Also, I dont know that a cable operated drum brake system will ever be a one finger pull setup. Gotta crank the drums a bit more than a hydro disk to make anything happen :)

I'll find out about the ASVs today.

Well, according to the retailer I called, the ASV lever will NOT work with a cable front brake setup. :( I guess the hunt is on for adjustable levers...if any others exist.

Thanks all.

I ended up buying an ASV clutch lever. I dont see any reason why I cant just buy another one, flip it, and use it for a cable brake setup. I'm going to try it tomorrow to see if it will work.
