Clutch Question

NOPE! taking the basket off isn't gonna help as that rod is inside the shaft hole! I ansered your other thread on the tool, easy to do!

originally you needed to do the rod adjustment with the 10mm nut on the end, that rod only moves very slightly during operation, and sounds like it is moving enuf

did you try the adjustment before going thru all this ?????

Yeah I tried. Pushrod #2 was stuck in the shaft hole and wouldn't move. I stuck an allen wrench in the hole and hit it with a hammer and pushed the pushrod back and turned the clutch push lever to push the pushrod out and have got a little movement but it's not moving back and forth very easy. Binding pretty good.

well that sucks, you may be splitting cases to remove it

I found the homemade clutch holder tool pic. so I'll try and make one. I also read about using a penny between the gears to lock the basket from moving do you know what gears to put the penny in.

I'm not gonna split the cases. Don't have the right tools. If I can't get this to work I will just part the blaster out.

penny goes between the clutch gear and the smaller one it runs against to the front
