While I was putting my engine back in my blaster today I accendtly pulled the peice out where the clutch cable hooks to the engine. I sat it back down in and it seemed to be seated right, so I hooked everything up. I went to move it while it was in gear and pulled in the clutch and it didnt work at all.? i the clutch worked before i did this and im confused any suggestions?

why was the engine out? did youdo anything else to the clutch?

i just got the blaster and took the engine out to clean it up and look at everything. i had the clutch cover off to fix the kick starter gear, but i never messed with the clutch. i put it back together put it in and thats it

Oops. You are going to need to remove the pressure plate from the clutch, 5 screws with springs. Make sure you don't strip out the screws.

After removing the screws with springs, the plate will just slide out. It has a rod attached to it which activates the clutch. Now here is the critical part. Put your hand over the hole the rod was in and tip the motor on it's side. A ball bearing and then another rod should come out. Push the clutch lever in a little deeper and reassemble.

If the motor is back in the frame, you can still do this without engine removal. Remove the right footpeg and then the clutch cover. Follow as above, but have a friend tip over the quad while you catch the ball and rod.

Oh, and pay attention to how the pressure plate comes off, it only goes back on one way.

There is a good pic or two in the manual. Download it if you haven't already. www.rydindirty.com/blastermanual.pdf
