Clutch problems

I thought my clutch was going out..... then I started to think about it. It doesn't slip when I go from idle to WOT. It doesn't slip when it goes from 0 load to max load. The thing that is confusing me is, every-once-in-a-while, it will still act like its in gear when the lever is fully pulled and I'm trying to kick it over. Never actually dealt with TOO strong of springs, but I doubt that's the case since it's an intermittent problem. Anyone had this happen or know of it happening to someone?

I have that simelar problem on my kx, when idling I will put it in gear and it will want to pull a bit but then I will ride and want to stop and then sumtime's it will still want to go forward like if the cluch is onley half in. Why would it do that?

mine sometimes will like not fully disengage and i have to rock it back an forth a lil idk if its normal tho and its only when its off

yeah that happens too... but today i was changing my rear brakes and had it up on a jackstand... started it up to hear the new pipe, put it in first and the tires started spinning with the clutch lever fully pulled.... its like its the opposite of a weak clutch, never experienced it. Its not disengaging all the way and I don't know how to fix it, anyone got a clue?

possible push rod bearing or clutch arm adjustment , the clutch arm on the driver side moves and pushes a rod, ball bearing (small) and then and other rod which pushes the pressure plate out sorta like A--0--L , A= Arm , 0 Ball Bearing , L Pressure plate, -- = Push Rod , Older blaster usually have the wont dis / engage when cold , id start with the oil you use , cheapest an easiest test , then adjusting the arm , then 10$ from dealer push rod with bearing , last n least new clutch , Tusk has a kit with heavy duty springs for 40$ off rockymountain Atv , search on the net for a coupon code , i found a 6$ off redemtion code , good luck , any more qs shoot away

your basket is grooved, for reference it has to be perfectly smooth. And if the engine is cold the oil wont let the plates separate

how do you adjust the cluch arm? (thanks for the help)

I'd have to look at mine to tell you exactly , I'll check when I get home , tightening or loosening the cable might help , be warned old cables have a tendency to snap

I cant tuch the cable as soon as I adjust the cable out (tighter) it is if the clutch is pulled in and the cluch grabs very high

I think mine is my oil. I got castrol from O reilly. My buddy uses bel ray and tried out mine cause i had an extra quart layin around and he said his shifted harder and clutch started acting up alot more with the castrol. With that said I'm now a bel ray convert.

Jesus doesnt anyone listen? Did you even check your basket? If it has grooves in it then it wont let your plates separate

ummm like he said it could be the oil, and when i drain the oil i can then check the basket. chill out man, and don't take offense if we don't herald you as the greatest brain since albert einstein. why don't you go take a ride on your 02 yz250f you love so much

LAWS, when did i say i had a 02 250f? Well considering the fact all you talk about is the oil, but that wont make it jump when you put it in gear, a worn basket and inner hub will

BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, it doesnt matter who it was directed all, everyone should listen, you can take offense if you want, but it is better to learn than to deny

I sense more BAAWWWW, but stop clogging up the thread. Post in the new "Me" thread if you have a problem please
