clutch oil seal

Pretty easy, actually. Just unhook the clutch cable, release the tension from the clutch actuator lever as much as possible, unhook the return spring, and pull the whole thing straight up and out. There are no snap rings or C-clips holding this assembly in place.

Once you unhook the cable and return spring, it just lifts right out. Sometimes it helps to take the flywheel cover off to remove the clutch return spring, but this really isn't necessary. Assembly is the reverse of removal. Don't tip the quad to the left while you have the clutch actuator lever out, or you may dislodge the clutch pushrod and have Hell trying to get the actuator lever back in again. Just a warning. :D

ok sounds easy enough.how do i get the oil seal out?

What do I do? Ummm? I break a basic mechanic's rule (SHHH! Don't tell! :D ) and simply pry the old seal out with a suitably sized flat-blade screwdriver. Be VERY careful not to damage the needle cage bearing below the seal. You'll see the bearing in there, so honestly, just look before you stab. Give it a quick pry, and pop goes the seal! If memory serves me correctly, a 1/2" or 9/16" deep well socket makes a handy tool for pressing in the new seal. Lube it and tap the seal gently home until it sits flush with the engine case. You'll probably have this done in 10 minutes...
