Well you would have to take the fibers off and look at them and see how well they were worn ?
I do not know, the condition or if it was working and all of a sudden stopped working, ect. or if things are missing. like washers or ball bearing that goes between the two rods.
another bit of info. Usually its good to replace the gasket. the big black one. however, you can also re-use it. if it's not broken.
What I do is carefully remove it and place some paper towels on top and underneath it and let it dry up and soak up the oil. do this a few times. to absorb all the oil on it, on both sides.
I like to also get a lint free cloth and some denatured alcohol or 90% alcohol and wipe both surfaces that will mate together, the clutch cover and the case.
I do this a few times, until all the oil is removed from the two mating surfaces.
I have had good luck when doing this and being able to re-use that gasket without any leaks.
