I am thinking of buying one but I don't really race or do crazy jumps. So do you guys think I should buy one? I've done a little bit of research on them. I've also looked at videos of people riding their blasters and many don't wear them. What's your take on this?

I've owned a few, if your running through tree branches or racing then yes there a good investment! I'd like an under jersey protector one of these days...
no matter how or where you ride if you can afford the gear get it because you don't ride with brake's because you drive fast, any thing can happen.
I do push it hard sometimes and been really close to falling but was lucky enough to keep my balance.
I would get one. If I had the money I would have all the gear. Right now I just ride with a helmet, goggles, and gloves. Then just jeans a shirt and work boots with the strings tucked in.
