Chance of buyin a blaster but with a klx Kawasaki 250 engine in

Cheers mate! It does bring a smile to my face its brill! Infact its the best of both worlds for me! Yamaha blaster parts and frame, easy to maintain , fourums like this for the model and all the parts you can think of, and a punchy four stroke thats virtually maintanence free that has all the low end torque for my trail riding, but i do like to hear other peoples opinions and questions!.
:)

Looks like a decenbt swap. Only thing that doesnt't look the safest is that the front tubes have been removed from the cradle. That will take alot of the frames strenght out especially riding off road. Drag bikes don't even remove those all the way. Just keep an eye on them to be safe. How does the bike handle? Hows traction with that motor in there?

I love them old hondas!!! I used to have the 70 which my uncle had when i was a little lad! I loved it! Thats what gof me into quadding! What did you trade it for may i ask?

It has been ridden hard and the frame is as tight as anything! There have been tubes from the bottom of the frame that go up the side of the engine, i think that gives it back some of its strenth , it handles good though, thanks for the advice!

Cool. Just keep an eye on it. I have seen stock blaster motors rip the mounts off those tubes many of times. Post a side pic sometie that shows it well.Either way I bet it rips and is a hoot to ride. I:I

From what I can see in the pics they won't go back in the stock location. You could always add support to fit around your motor and where it works for the build. Thats why I was curious to see a side pic that shows it in better detail. It was worth mentioning for you to keep an eye on it to be safe.Like anything it may never fail or it could fail a week from now. I am no frame builder or engineer by any means just my honest opinion. Not alot of people attempt swaps like this. It's nice just to see one finished and done with respect to a blaster, meaning no metal tank, full fearing fenders, ape hangers.lol

I think its the first one ive seen without some ghastly home made fairings or tank hahaha im quite happy with it! I will get them pics on tomorrow for you, i have someone that does welding for a living but i wod like to get someone who owns a blaster to give an opinion first, if not im happy to leave it how it is. If it felt weak or had bad handling i would get it done right away but because it feels like new and as tight as a nut im not in such a rush , and ive ridden some real bad hybrids!?

Personally, I couldn't see replacing a 2 stroke with a 4 stroke but I agrees with Harley, if it's fun, reliable and gets you home.......what's not to love? I've ridden the older KLX250's and 300's, bet would expect it to be very manageable in tight trails. Find you a good expensive set of Banshee fronts and a 400ex rear and the suspension should make even better use of the predictably smooth 4 stroke power.

It came like it , i didnt do the swap, but trail riding is what i do and a fourstroke is brilliant for it;)
