i have everything apart tryed taking the carrier out and putting it in the vice didnt work i was just out there with a peice of pipe and a sledge hammer my spocket is seized on i missed and sliced my finger open so i might not be working on it for a bit but idk how the hell to get this thing off the sprocket and hub any advice i have everything else off just cant get the hub for the sprocket

i have beat the piss out of this thing i even tried two 300lb wood clamps short of cutting it off or sending it in to have it pressed off i have no idea what to try on this

also if anyone knows where to get the hub for holding the sprocket on that would help couse if its only 30 bucks ill cut the biotch off

I don't feel so all alone 8-|. I had a puller rigged up, extra long two jaw, where my grade 8 bolt was pushing on the axle the piece of lawnmower blade deformed 3/8", and this was with heating to dull red with rosebud tip, and beating with 2 pounder. Never did get hub off, scored complete axle/ carrier for 30. Local auto parts wanted 20 to press it off with press. Have seen others on hear destroy hub getting it off. BTW, I did soak with PB for a week.

Put a board on the ground and install a hub nut on one end of the axle.Spray it down with penetrating fluid. Grab the axle carrier with both hands and slam the end of the axle with the nut on it onto the board and slam it for awhile,it will eventually come free. This method has never failed me and will not ruin parts by using chisels, hammers, heat, etc.

same way i do it, even worked on an 89 that looked to never be apart before
use PB Blaster, it has acids made for breaking rusted stuck parts, that oils do not

well i tried hammering it again i tried putting the hub back on and using a peice of board then i started to get pissed and slammed it on concrete for a while never budged anyone have an axle that they would sell with the chain hub and end bolts i have the wheel hubs yet im just going to cut the hub and axle off and press the rest out of the carrier

ok after trying again today after it sat all night in tranny fluid i still couldnt get iot off i brought it in and they couldnt press it off so i need an axle stock carrier and sprocket hub anyone on here have one for sale i dont really want to try ebay unless i have to couse who knows if its even close to strait
