I took my carb off to clean it a couple days ago, went to put it back on today and once i got it all back on and i twist the throttle there is no resistance and it will just stay wide open when i let go. also when i look in the carb where the air filter boot would go the needle isnt moving at all. no idea what i did wrong, though i followed a how to on here and was feeling good about it until now lol please tell me this is just a dumb and free fix lol

sounds like your cable came out of the slide maybe. can you see the needle when you look into the carb? if so the slide isn't closing for some reason.

yea like when i look into the carb where the air filter boot would go the only thing i see is the needle. i shouldn't be able to see it?

ok so for some reason the slide isn't going down far enough? even once i noticed this problem i took the needle and slide off the carb and tryed twisting the throttle with it out and it did the same thing then.

i just got this blaster and it already had the twist throttle on it and it ran with it so the cable is definitly long enoug, i did not check to see if it was still attached to the throttle side though. i will check that now. thank you

b4 i go check it though when i did take the throttle part out of the carb to see what would happen when twisting the throttle it does compress the spring a very little bit just not alot and very little resistence, so this would mean it is still attached on the throttle side wouldnt it??

went down to the garage and checked it out and still attached to throttle side, reinstaled it onto carb and this time could see the side, about 3/4 of it and 1/4 of the needle but when i twist the throttle the slide just got stuck up. do i need a new throttle?

yea id get a new cable...and while your at it, chuck that twist throttle in the weeds and get a thumb throttle...your just gonna end up hurting yourself with that twist on there...

there is a lug inside the carb that slides into the grove on the slide. if you don't have that alighned the it will not work and it will feel like the throttle has no resistance when you twist it. I am about 95% sure that would be your problem if everything worked before you took it apart.
