carb question what is this ?

hi guys i took a look at my carb and its leaking gas out of this little gold peice it like drips out every once in a while

Drain screw not seating, or some crap in the needle and seat causing an overflow.

The float level could be slightly out of adjustment as well.

how do i fix it is there suppose to be a hose or something on there or something i can put on there

that's an overflow tube for the bowl of the carb , should run down towards your swing arm !

yeah it should have a tube on it. the drain screw is not seating properly

If I am thinking right, that nipple marries with the bowl overflow. Or am I thinking of a different carb?

If it drips, the carb needs a clean because something is not quite right.

Straight down, or a 45 deg to below the swing arm bolt. .

the tube is to let the fuel drain on the ground, not the quad. that is really the only purpose. just need to get it down past the swingarm

And if it still drips, the carby needs attention.

Why change when with just a little effort you can fix the one you have on there.

Theres a thread on here about fixing leaky carbs. Worst case you need a rebuild kit, theyre like 13 bucks

How do I fix it just take carb out and do what I know I need to re jet it but what will fix the problom?Nvm I already answered that myself lol
