Hi everybody ,I'm new to the forum and I have a 99 blaster with factory everything. last year my blaster made a thud noise and them it would'nt go anywhere. it would idle like crap but when letting out on the clutch it wanted to die. i got to looking and a reed valves had broke so i replaced them and were off and running again. yestedday it made the same noise and had the same crapy idle and now i cant even get it to start . i check the reed valves there fine , i put in a new plug, took the head off and the piston looks good, i shifted the transmission through all the gears and it works fine. i checked the float in the carb (working fine). but there is a sensor or something on top of the carb were the throttle cable runs to and im not sure what it is or were the adjustment screw should be set at. maybe thats my problem??? can anybody help?? Thanks

That big thing on top of your carb is the TORS. It is a safety system that kills the spark if it detects the throttle is stuck open. It is known to cause running problems. Unplug the wires from it and on the brake handle. The big screw is to adjust your idle. Do a compression test with a gauge.

ok so i got it started!!! I feel like a retard cause it was only out of gas. Eventhough i did look and see gas in the tank, it was'nt enough. Good news is i finished repainting it cleaning and greasing the whole thing. Thanks for all the input though. TORS was a 2 beer job!! lol
